It might be worth it to send Shingen to take Kenshin's place and bring him to join us. Rhyperior's going to be no good against Avia." said Oichi. Asami nodded in agreement. "Okay. We'll pay Date back for his little invasion of Cragspur. He hasn't moved since then and we have no need to keep troops in Yaksha. As long as the defense holds in Cragspur and Viperia, no invaders can get to it." said Asami. Her companions agreed and they retired for the night.

August to September brought more training to the Aurora army as they prepared to face down Masamune Date of Avia. October brought a Pokémon evolution while Ginchiyo was training. Her Luxio evolved into his final stage, a Luxray. Flaffy also evolved into Ampharos for Asami. One November night, Asami was sitting by a fire in the Viperia Castle courtyard. She had moved herself and her five allies back to that castle to wait for their invasion of Avia. Asami had told them they would moving out the next day. For now, she was contemplating the fire, Eevee sleeping in her lap. She had learned earlier that her army was only weaker than Avia by three points. That was a small margin and Asami was glad to hear they shouldn't have a problem. Ampharos and Luxio were their trump cards.

Footsteps made her look over and Asami blushed when she saw it was Yukimura. "Can't sleep, Lady Asami?" he asked, sitting down next to her. "No. Just nervous for tomorrow. What if the three point difference is bigger than we thought?" she asked. "I don't think so. Look at all you've accomplished in three years. More than half of Ransei is in your hands. Avia should be a cakewalk. They are at 1733 strength and we're at 1730. With Ampharos and Luxio being dominate over Lord Masamune's Flying-types, it should be a cinch. You're not alone, milady. You have Oichi, Lord Kenshin, Lady Ginchiyo, and Saizo, to help you and…" he trailed off. They looked at each other. "You have me, Lady Asami. Charmeleon and I are at your side and service. I won't leave you to deal with something alone, unless you feel I'm needed elsewhere." Yukimura promised.

Asami's face felt hot but she smiled gently at him. Over the course of the campaign since he joined, her feelings for him had grown. What started as a typical crush had bloomed into something more. Asami had fallen in love with Yukimura Sanada. He and Oichi had become her closest friends and she was grateful for that fact, if nothing more. She couldn't bring herself to tell Yukimura she loved him. They had more important things to do, like stopping Nobunaga. The rest would have to come later. The young man had since turned to face the fire. Asami, her mind at ease, let her eyes close. She fell asleep, her head coming to rest on his shoulder. Yukimura looked down, surprised when he felt it, and beheld his leader. He smiled and just let her stay that way for a while longer.
