July saw the Aurora army making its way back to Terrera to see if Lord Shingen would agree to a battle. He was there waiting for them when they arrived. "Asami! I've been waiting for you." he said before he noticed her new clothes. "Hmm? You look…different." he said. So it seemed he didn't know that her Warrior transformation was going to happen. Asami sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. Everyone couldn't get enough of her new outfit. "Well, well. I do think this battle is going to be fun. Don't you, Yukimura?" Shingen then asked his Junior Warlord. Asami went bright red as the young man stepped forward. "Most definitely. If Lady Asami is our opponent, then I shall give it everything I have!" he agreed. Shingen chuckled at the youth's enthusiasm before looking at Asami. "Yes. So, shall we get started?" he asked. "Lead and we shall." Asami said, pulling herself together.

Shingen led them to his battlefield. There were three towers with flags they had to capture. Asami remembered what Hideaki told her. It wasn't necessary to fight if they didn't have to. Just take the flags. She commanded her troops and hoped for the best. The battle proved to be much simpler than she anticipated. There were a few hiccups with sand winds blowing her team's partners off the towers but again tactical thinking won the day. She lost Onix and Ralts to knockouts and Shingen lost Scraggy, Drilbur, and Rhyhorn. The old man came up with a jolly look on his face. "Hmm! Fine work indeed. You defeated me, Asami!" he said. "It wasn't easy, Lord Shingen." she said, smiling herself. Then she spied Yukimura looking down. "My deepest apologies. If I had just…" he started. "Forget it, Yukimura. Winning this battle was never my intention." said Shingen.

That threw Yukimura, Asami, and Oichi for a loop. Never his intention? "Huh?" Yukimura asked for them all. "I was always planning to join young Asami here." replied his lord. "As was I." came another voice. Asami whirled around to see another man. "Lord Kenshin Uesugi!" she gasped in shock. "So there you are. I thought you might show up." said Shingen. The other man, whose partner was a Gallade, smirked a little. "Anyone strong enough to defeat my nemesis is worthy of my service. From now on, I shall fight for your army, Asami." Kenshin said. Asami's jaw dropped. The rumor Hideaki told her was true! "Lady Asami! This is great news!" Oichi said. Asami pulled herself together. "Thank you, Lord Kenshin!" she bowed. "I'm ready to give all I've got alongside you!" Shingen agreed. The young girl grinned hugely.

That evening, Shingen, Asami, and the other sat down around a fire. The sun was getting low in the sky. Yukimura had departed for parts unknown, leaving a message with his Lord that if Asami wanted him in her army, to come find him. The young girl was left feeling a little blue. "It looks like we're headed for all-out war with Nobunaga for control of Ransei." said Shingen. "Indeed. We will face battles more difficult than any we have experienced before." agreed Kenshin. "Yeah…but before all that…I've made us something to eat! Go ahead and eat!" said Oichi, pulling out bento boxes for everyone. Asami blinked as she was given a bento box as well. "Thanks, Oichi!" she said, cheering up. Shingen laughed heartily. "Ahh! This does look tasty. How considerate of you! Very well, let's have ourselves a little feast in celebration, shall we?" he asked.
