After buying him and playing with him a ton in Dissidia, I think it's safe to say I have a major crush on Judge Magister Gabranth. Sorry, folks. I'm sad, I know. Sorry, Seph. You've lost first place for the time being.

Sephiroth: Big deal. We all know how you jump from one to another depending on your mood.

Anyway *dusting hands off after pummeling said angel into the ground*, Gabranth and his brother, Basch, have become yet another pair of twins I like. Gabranth I like a little more. But just a little. Basch...he's something else. Even though he and Gabranth have the same face, Basch is really different. It's not just because his hair's longer and he has that distinguished scar over his left eye. Basch is a man of honor so I like him. Gabranth, however, is a broken man hiding behind that horned helm of his. I watched the cutscenes to FF12 so I know what happens in the end. I find it ironic. Gabranth posed as Basch to kill the King of Dalmasca in order to frame Basch before the game begins then Basch plays his doppelganger to stop a three-way war in the end after his twin was fatally wounded. Basch then cuts his hair and dons the armor, ready to pose as Gabranth after he dies. I liked how the twins made their peace before Gabranth dies, especially since the Judge Magister asks Basch to watch after Larsa, the new Emperor of Archadia. It's a good thing Basch got that scar, even though it sometimes doesn't make a difference. Seeing him in that armor and it's like Gabranth never died.

I don't know what it is that sets them apart from, say, Dante and Vergil. They have the same face but its only obvious when Vergil's hair is knocked down. Even then, I don't really see Dante where Vergil is. How odd Gabranth and Basch are that they affect me this way. Anyway, Gabranth has been added to list of PlayArts figures I want. I have to decide who I want to get first at the next con I go to. Will it be Axel, Crisis Core Cloud, or Gabranth? We will see.

In other news, dropped my camera on my porch on Halloween so now the thing's screwed up. Sucks because I haven't even taken it to a con yet. One of the corners is smashed in which makes taking a picture is a lot harder. The corner was near the button that takes the picture. Even the off switch has gone bad. It takes longer to shut off, something I have to do now because I can't take multiple pictures anymore. The guide box on the screen will center on the thing I want a picture of and take it no problem. However, it can't center for subsequent pictures after that unless I shut it off. I may ask my brother if Best Buy can do something about it without me buying a new camera.
